I was looking at the list of single malts my scotch club presented us with in tastings over the year so far. I thought you all might like to peruse some of the list and let me know which ones you find particularly interesting or that you tried and really like-:
Deerstalker 18
Clynelish 14
Mortlach 19
Auchentoshan 19
Craigellachie 8
Macallan 14
Aberlour 17
Duthies Ledaig
Glenmorangie Sonnalta
Hazelburn Sauternes Wood Cask Strength
Tormore 10 _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

I have had the Hazelburn Sauternes Finish which was very sweet andvery good. The Glenmorangie Sonnalta is excellent. The Clynelish 14 distillery bottling is always excellent, floral, oily, fruity, spice and touch of peat.
Not had the Tormore 10 or the Deerstalker 18 which if i recall correctly is Balmenach and are the others independent bottlings |

You sure know your single malts. The "others" were independent bottlings. Cheers. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

The Sauternes-finished Hazelburn sounds intriguing, I rate the Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or but I imagine the sweetness would be taken to another level with the triple distilled Hazelburn, the only danger would be if it was too cloying?
I've always enjoyed Clynelish and Aberlour expressions when I've tried them and, to be honest, I'd probably enjoy them all, whisky slut that I am. _________________ "Whisky is liquid sunshine."

I loved the Glenmorangie Sonnalta a quality sherried Glenmo. The Clynelish 14 is a great dram also which you dont hear mentioned much.
Not familiar with the others on your list, they look like they are independent bottlings which can often be more interesting than the original distillery bottlings. |
