Anyone seen the new Glen Scotia range complete with coloured bottles? Apparently this is designed to coincide with an export push but I'm unclear from the article linked below whether these will be appearing in the UK too.

Apparently the contents will be 46% and NCF and I've really enjoyed the recent Glen Scotia offerings I've had at SMWS so I'm fine with the contents but I can't say I like the new look. It's like a cross between shortbread tin images of Scotland and a certain brand of alcopop Shocked

Very strange looking bottles, it will certainly get the bottles noticed on the shelf in a shop and i have seen many people in the past buy a bottle of whisky simply because of the look of the packaging.

I had a look at the Glen Scotia web site but no sign of these or any tasting notes yet.

Yes good news

Going by the image the whole new range 10, 12, 16, 18 and 21 year old are all bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and natural colour but the highland cow and northern light skies on the bottles give nothing away about what the whisky will be like and neither does the article about the new release. No mention of prices either. Time will tell i suppose.
