I had my wife pick a bottle up while she was in Asda Newcraighall in Edinburgh. She said it was one of only two left (before you tell me I should have got two, try telling that to my wife!) and, from other reports, it seems to be sold out around Edinburgh now.
It makes me curious as Lagavulin has low production (2.25m litres) and high international demand and it is rare to see it discounted at all let alone by c. 40%. I'm guessing they might be restocking for Xmas? _________________ "Whisky is liquid sunshine."

I recall a few years ago when Asda reduced the price of Ardbeg 10 to £18 to clear it from their shelves, this coincided with a massive increase of the price of Ardbeg 10 by the Glenmorangie Company, perhaps we are about to see a price hike of the Lagavulin 16 i hope not. |

Was back in Asda at the weekend. The Lagavulin had disappeared from the shelves altogether. Maybe they're waiting on new stock but perhaps Andy is right and they're just discontinuing it! _________________ "Whisky is liquid sunshine."
