Tasting notes for the other exceptional dram I experienced at the Feather's Pub in Toronto yesterday. I would call it the perfect dram.The only way to have this one in my opinion is neat.
Nose: Wondrous aged varnish, blood oranges, plums, very aged oak, heavenly sherry, sweet toffee, a faint veil of smoke, velvety, fruity honey, sweet citrus jello, flashbacks to finer cognac; Empire apples and butterscotch fudge.
Palate: Fresh plums, over-ripe nectarines for fruit spread, dates, creamy, ripe melon and papaya.
Finish: Spice, minty, long finish, prune nectar eruption, residual spearmint gum and fruity ice wine.
This one can warm you up and leave a smile on your face. Aromas and flavors are in high definition correlated with its maturity, almost like a living hologram of tasting expressions. This is a Highland Park like no other. It is among the best drams I have ever experienced and I was so thankful that I took the financial plunge for a large pour. The smile is still there.....

This was a dram of "all positives" and each sip augmented the palate and finish, a lovely drop.

| Quaich1 have you tried the Highland Park 30 original distillery bottling, it is superb, HP is one of those distilleries that continues getting better with age in my experience. |

Hi Mac. I haven't had the opportunity as of yet to try the HP 30 original bottling but I hope to encounter a dram in the not too distant future.
