Popped in to the LCBO yesterday to get a bottle of scotch for a friend. The place was packed with folk all eyes glistening with excitement as they loaded up with everything and interestingly enough many bottles of single malt. Gift packs of Glenmorangie with all sort of mini-bottles attached, Glenlivet gift boxes with three age varieties included, Irish whiskey with glassware, Canadian whisky gift box with BBQ equipment included in the box, Scotch with Johnny Walker cuff links included and on and on. i felt a little like a kid in a candy store watching all of this excitement before my eyes. To my crediit I left with what I came for and nothing else.....until my next visit.

| Very much the same in the drinks aisle of our supermarkets this time of year. I am amazed how many people i have observed buying because of the look of the packaging and not the whisky in the bottle. |
