| Lots of hype (none of which would indicate that the whisky should be any better or different) but most of the reviews I heard were distinctly positive. |

The same sort of situation occurred with the Snow Phoenix offering a while back with 60,000 bottles and the price is now 130 pounds (Master of Malt-no longer available). The Cask of Dreams only has a 13,000 bottle offering. I would tend to think the investment potential is pretty good here. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| Likely (I got a case of the COD) but the SP was great whisky, this less so. |

The Glenfiddich Cask Of Dreams, Canadian Edition is finally on the market here in Canada and it's going like hot cakes. Collectors are grabbing them like crazy. I got 2 today. I really believe this is going to be an investment hit. News media really got on the bandwagon with this one. Only available here now. I expect Master of Malt or The Whisky Exchange will eventually get their hands on some and the prices will go through the roof. That's my projection.

Interesting - I didn't realise there was a Canadian bottling as well as a US one. I have the US one with a relative in SF but getting this one is probably beyond my powers! _________________ Talisker 18 - the rest are just details |

That's pretty neat Brummie that this variety is already going up 50% from original price. It will be quite interesting to see what the seller ultimately gets for it. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

I would be interested to see how much this goes for also, hopefully ebay lets the auction run its course as they have been kicking a lot out recently.
I could see it going up to £200
Quaich1, how much was it selling for at your LCBO shops? |

Mark, I had a good feeling and hunch about the possibilities of the Cask Of Dreams Canadian Ed. since it hit the LCBO shelves here in Ontario. I have 4 bottles myself that I picked up as soon as they were available for $ 99. Canadian each, equivalent to 62 pounds.

Just happened to notice that a bottle of the stuff is currently on at 182 pounds equivalent on Ebay Germany with multiple offers:

One sold in Germany (Ebay) for 283. Canadian dollars, I believe the US edition. The Canadian Edition is still flying off the shelves here in Ontario. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
