Raise a dram with Bowmore to celebrate the arrival of The Bowmore Room at the Caledonian Club in the heart of London, London's only Scottish private members club.

I seem to recall this club was one of the last to offer membership to women... so this Scot thinks they can keep their Bowmore room |

Sounds like the Augusta golf course club in Florida, unnwilling and adamant not to allow women members but eventually they saw the errors of their ways or succumbed to pressure. The addition of former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to the club was the rightful result. I agree that the traditional old boy's approach to certain clubs is counter-productive and prejudicial. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
