Macallan have released their Easter Elchies 2012 today it is a 14 yr old single cask of 550 bottles and priced at £145.
Not for me as i think they are tageting the collectors and are cashing in on them as the 2011 bottle was £120 with a mini but this year £145 no mini
If anyone wants one then be quick as i have been informed they had sold ALOT today!
Think i will be keeping my money for Islay and the Feis Ile in May!

That's because it's a 'distillery exclusive'. I'm in Speyside at end of March so will pick one up if there's any left when I visit. |

You can order over the phone, and pay as long as it is for collection! |

| The Easter Elchies 2012 version is now on sale tomorrow 15/1, at £160. Not sure the number of bottles or if there is a mini. Does anyone else have any more info? |

No, I got the info from a Whisky Collector on facebook - they have always provided reliable info in the past! Does seem a shame , and defeat the object of a distillery only bottling if it becomes a distillery only if you know about it and pre-reserve it ...... Hey ho, whisky collecting/investing getting a curious place...

A Macallan collector told me to email them direct about this bottle, I did this about two weeks before xmas, I got no reply until yesterday, which told me to call up today and pay.
I phoned the vistor centre today and paid for my bottle, but they did say it was sold out. 
I had heard that they did not have enough whisky to do a miniature this year, but this was not from them. |
