The Vintages program at LCBO is now offering the Highland Park Thor 16 Year Old
for $250. Can dollars or 158 pounds equivalent. Not a cheap dram. Any thoughts on this one? Has anyone tried it? _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| Cant comment on how it will taste but i always thought it was over priced for a 16 year old Highland Park. Nice looking viking longboat frame box but that doesnt justify the price. I avoided it when it was released. |

I'm with Gregor with this.
Ive never tried it, but for a 16yr old it does seem an awful lot of money.
Ive just tried a 21yr old HP single cask, cask strength and that was excellent it really was, but at £80 I thought possible a little too much of an ask, though I honesly have to say I was sorely tempted.
The idea of a 16yr old being twice that price, even with a viking box. I think i'd want a live viking thrown in at that price. |

You do have a way with words. I believe I have to agree with you. I'll take a Viking ship instead of the Viking, good place to store bottles.

Over priced, over rated, over promoted, loads of stock all over the world for a "limited" release.
Right up there with Pride, constellation and 1957 Bowmore at auction as an epic fail _________________ Talisker 18 - the rest are just details |
