Whisky Forum - Advice needed

Hello all,

A customer of mine(I work in a bar) has a bottle of 8 Reigns blended whisky by James Sword & Sons and has offered to sell me it. I'm a bit of a collector and am interested.
Does anyone know how much roughly is it worth so I can make him an offer?

Hi Callum

I cant say i am familiar with 8 Reigns whisky. I know James Sword & Sons was founded in 1814 and made a standard blend "Swords" which i believe is the only blend still produced by them. Morrison Bowmore took over James Sword & Sons in 1983.

Perhaps one of the other forum members will recognise 8 Reigns whisky.

I have only ever come across a bottle of Swords.

I wonder if you would have any luck contacting Morrison Bowmore.

The bottle looks in very good condition. Have you tried contacting Mctears whisky auction in Glasgow. They may be able to put a value on it for you.
