Darren, sounds like a real nice dram. A little pricey at $287. equivalent Canadian but since the Glenfarclas 105 without age statement is so great, this one must be superb.

If you like the standard 105 which I do, you will love the 20/40 offerings, I tried the 20 followed by the 40 last October at The Whisky Exchange Show London, ordered the 20 x 2 on my return home, can't afford the 40 or would have bought 2 x 2.
both are 9.5/10 for me.

The 850 pounds is at The Whisky Exchange for the 40 Year. Where did you see it at 275 pounds?

Not tried the 40yr old, and at 850 a bottle, nor an I likely to in a hurry.
I did try the 20yr old at last years whisky fringe up in Edinburgh, I have to say that I was most impressed with it, stood up well at an even like the whisky fringe because of its big flavours and strength. |
