Afternoon all,

Anyone heard of or better still used Whiskybroker to buy any bottles or indeed casks from?

Just happened upon his website today whiskybroker.co.uk and the price he is asking for his bottles looks extreamly good indeed.

Ive had a quick scout around google and I can't find any real bad press on him or his website, so I was wondereing if anyone had any encounters of this?

Thanks

I checked out there site too. Some pretty reasonable bottles. One can only dream of those prices here in Canada.

Whiskybroker is run by Martin Armstrong who is the son of Bladnoch owner Raymond Armstrong.

The standard Glenfiddich 12 here is 32 pounds equivalent to Canadian dollars.

Could do with a better website and labeling! (it might not put me off, but surely has to harm their business.)

They do offer some older aged single cask bottlings for pretty good prices, often from lesser known distilleries and the packaging is insignificant to me. There bottlings are very much like any independent bottlers single cask bottlings they can vary from OK to outstanding. And the good thing is it is priced reasonably for drinking.

You can save on postage by picking up your order from the Bladnock distillery and it makes a good excuse to visit the distillery if you havent already.

Just added an Ardbeg 20 to the three bottles alredy on order. I have tried a couple of samples from bottles and he does seem to find a lot of good casks, although lack of tasting notes mean you may find a profile you don't like.

P & P is expensive. Also delivery has changed to Yodel which round here is a nightmare they are the total dross of delivery companys. If I can I will pick up my bottles.

I missed it, I see the Ardbeg 20 has sold out.

I wish whiskybroker/bladnoch would use parcelforce for UK deliverys as couriers put me off ordering

Sold out in under 15 mins don't think his other new releases will hang about either, thinking about the Springbank.

Well an order was placed today with Bifter, my father and myself for the following. . .

14 year old whisky distilled at Sprinbank Distillery, 70cl 54.3% (I think one is a first fill, ex Jack Danials cask) - £49

20 year old Longmorn, 70cl 55.5% - £44.60

23 year old Bunnahabhain 70cl 43.7% - £36

Delivery should be within 10 days, so fingers crossed these will be pleasent enough.

Very Happy

I would certainly be interested in hearing what you think of them when you get them, i have often looked at the Bladnock/Whiskybroker bottlings but have never ordered anything. With the way whisky prices are going set ups like this are more appealing to those like myself who are wanting to taste something different for a decent price.
