Thanks for letting us know.
I thought it wasnt going to be released until June 30th, well at least i think thats what Ardbegs website said last time i looked. The Whisky Exchange must have got their hands on it a little early. I am sure it will sell well.

I really do fancy this one a cask strength 10 year old Ardbeg . Mac i read somewhere (forgot where) that there are 21,000 bottles of the Ardbeg available, but not sure how much of that is for the UK market.

I have been looking forward to this release. Ardbeg Renaissance is a Cask Strength 10, but it is not a Cask Strength version of the Ardbeg 10 we are used to drinking. The whisky in it was produced after Glenmorangie took over the Ardbeg distillery. The Ardbeg 10 we are used to was mostly produced before Glenmorangie took over.
I am sure they will release more after the first 21000 bottles are gone whether it will still be called Ardbeg Renaissance 10 or just Ardbeg CS 10, who knows. I have got mine ordered anyway.

I tasted mine tonight, it is SUPERB
I know this is supposed to be the end of the Young Series of Ardbeg but after tasting ii, it would be such a shame not to release anymore. That is a good idea you have Smoky about a Ardbeg CS 10, it would be good to see it as a permenant part of the Ardbeg core range.
Anyway the Renaissance is defintely worth the extra few pound.

Just opened my bottle of Renaissance tonight and I agree Alastair, it is superb and and definitely worth the few extra pound above the price of the normal Ardbeg 10.

I have tried it tonight and as said above it is delicious.
A word of advice if you are ordering it online order 2 bottles and save on the postage because once you taste it you will want another bottle, i wish i had ordered 2 now.

It wont be long now until all Ardbeg 10 will have been produced since Glenmorangie took over Ardbeg but the Renaissance is a good sign of things to come. It will be interesting to compare a pre Glenmo Ardbeg 10 with a post Glenmo Ardbeg 10.
