Looks like SMWS have added another distillery to their number system with the release of a cask from Pernod Ricard's Strathclyde grain distillery in Glasgow.

Quite partial to a nice grain myself!

I have tried a Douglas Laing Clan Denny bottling of Strathclyde in the past which was excellent. For some reason you dont see many Strathclyde bottlings from the independent bottlers.

I'm still not feeling it when it comes to grain whisky, maybe I'm a snob or maybe I just don't like airfix glue!!

Nice to see a Port Charlotte back on the cards again this month, though I could do without spending any more on whisky at the moment, but then what can one do?

I have tasted a few older single grains which were good. I thought the Port Dundas 20 year old Diageo 2011special release was excellent.

I had a bottle of this Keith, i did intend to keep it but i opened it and was very pleased that i did.

bifter, thanks for the heads up about SMWS adding Strathclyde to their number system. I updated the SMWS Distillery Codes lists

SMWS Distillery Codes (Numerical)

SMWS Distillery Codes (A to Z)

Of the grains I've tried generally Invergordon has been my favourite. I have a bottle of SMWS G5.8, a 19yo Invergordon and it's really nice, almost like a good rum.
