The Macduff Distillery which produces Glen Deveron single malt whisky have launched the Glen Deveron Royal Burgh Collection which includes Glen Deveron 16 Years Old, Glen Deveron 20 Years Old and Glen Deveron 30 Years Old. Each is made with previously unreleased rare, aged whiskies hand-selected from the distillery's private reserve. Available exclusively in travel retail World Duty Free shops.
Sherry-oak casks were used to mature the whisky to give it a full, fruity taste. The Glen Deveron, Royal Burgh Collection will be available exclusively from World Duty Free stores in the UK and Spain priced at £40.99 for Glen Deveron 16 Year Old (1litre), £52.99 for the Glen Deveron 20 Year Old (1 litre) and £150.00 for Glen Deveron 30 Year Old (70cl).
Not bad prices considering Glen Deveron original distillery bottlings are quite rare. The Glen Deveron 20 year old stands out for me as being good value at £52.99 for a 1 litre bottle of 20 year old whisky. I will be passing through WDF at Glasgow airport this evening, hopefully they have this available for tasting. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |

| That is a good price £52.99 for the Glen Deveron 20 and it is a 1 litre bottle, not often you would see whisky of this age in a 1 litre bottle. Let us know what you think if you do get a taste of it. |

At the airport now and picked up a bottle of the Glen Deveron 16 after tasting both the 16 and 20 year olds, both were excellent lovely fruity highlanders, i may pick up the 20 year old next time. Also picked up a 1 litre bottle of Ardbeg 10 and a bottle of Laphroaig QA Cask after a having a quick taste will let you know what i think of it when i have had a few drams of it.
Tasted the new Balvenie 12 Triple Cask which is excellent but i could only fit 3 bottles in my hand luggauge or i would have had a bottle. Also tasted the new Singleton of Dufftown Unite one of two new no age statement bottlings exclusive to travel retail, it was very good also a good bit of fresh red fruit and some nice toffee and vanilla, no age but no complaint from me it was superior to the standard Singleton of Dufftown 12 year old.
Tried the Dalmore Valour, it was ok but didnt inspire me to buy.
In the flybe lounge now, no whisky here just beer and wine _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |
