I see The Whisky Exchange is now asking £6500 for a bottle of the Black Bowmore 1964 1st edition. I would guess there are not many of them around now and you would have to pay premium prices for a bottle if you can find one. TWE do have a couple of bottles of the 2nd edition for £3800 each.
If you can find a bottle at auction the Black Bowmore 2nd editions seem to be selling for around £2500 - £2800 plus the auction charges which would be around 20%.
I wish i had picked up a few bottles when it was released in the mid 1990s at around £80 a bottle.
If i spot any coming up at auction i will give you a shout. |
