Canada is one of two markets worldwide to receive the entire 1824 Series, an innovative new range of single malt whiskies.

I'm looking forward to it.

I wonder if you will still be able to get the 12 year old, i would guess they will be phasing it out so i would say it is a good idea to stock up if you like the Macallan 12.
After reading reviews i gave the Macallan Gold a miss and bought a bottle of Amber and Sienna, both are excellent.
I noticed the Macallan 18 can hardly be found for under £120 over here since they released the new 1824 series, i wish i had stocked up with a few bottles. |

James, the Macallan 12 is still for sale at the moment at LCBO in Ontario for about 58 pounds equivalent. The 18 year is a whopping 162 pounds equivalent. I can get rarer drams for that price. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

The price of the Macallan 18 has soured in the last few years, it was around £70 in 2011 so it has gone up £50 in 2 years |

Murray the further you move up the new Macallan 1824 Series range the bigger and bolder the sherry influence becomes. Macallan Amber and Sienna are excellent, the Ruby is also very good but not priced for everyday dramming, £120 over here so i would guess you will be paying a good bit more.
My thoughts on the new Macallan 1824 Series here:

I would guess the Macallan 10 & 15 Fine Oak, Macallan Cask Strength and the Macallan 12 may disappear from your shelves at the LCBO _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |

Hi William. I enjoyed reading your piece on the new Macallan 1824 series and taste notes. You provide a very insightful perspective to NAS expressions. I just hope the pricing on this side of the pond shoes some decorum.

 | Murray i would guess the Macallan Amber will be around what you currently pay for the Macallan 12. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |
