Hi everyone
I have a couple of good bits of news from Oddbins online shop.
Firstly, I have been in contact with Jerome Wargnier Head of E-Commerce at Oddbins relating to the original packaging that whisky comes in and why Oddbins does not ship the whisky with this packaging. I explained that to a malt whisky drinker the packaging is important as the Box/Tin/Tube is part of the whisky's value and it also may contain info on the whisky such as tasting notes and distilling methods.
Anyway Jerome has been very helpful with this matter, Oddbins will now ship all whisky with its original packaging and he has added the following statement to Oddbins site to get the message out that they now ship with original packaging. He is also in the process of refreshing the images of dozens of malts so they now show the Box/Tin/Tube it will come in.

He explained that he uses the word "Almost" as a precaution becuase to date Oddbins have not come across any whisky Box/Tin/Tube which does not fit into their new cardboard packagings.
Oddbins £5 off Whisky Offer
Second good bit of news is that Oddbins are currently running a special offer which gives £5 off a number of selected malts and even better they plan on making this an ongoing promotion with £5 off different malts every month so it is always worth checking out Oddbins prices when you are shopping around.
Anyway big thanks to Jerome Wargnier at Oddbins for sorting out the packaging as i know a lot of you have complained about it in the past.

That is good news William, it always annoyed me that they didnt post the box. Also good news about there ongoing £5 off sale.

I always found it ODD that they didnt give you the box or tube but then again they ae Oddbins.
