i have a bottle of black bowmore final edition, number 1500.
i keep thinking of selling it to enable me to buy something else and yet i always hesitate and then put it back in the cupboard.
i havent anything specific that i would like to buy if i sold the bowmore.
what would you do?
what would you buy?
do i trade up with a single bottle purchase or a few bottles?
do i keep the bowmore? |

It all depends on what the purpose of buying it in the first place was and if you actually like Bowmore.
Personally, I'm not a big Bowmore fan. Whilst I'd like to try this I wouldn't be willing to blow a couple of grand for a taste.
There are other things out there that I'd rather drink a bottle of which I wouldn't normally afford; such as an OB Port Ellen or a 40yo Balvenie.
If it were me, I'd flog the Bowmore and buy the 2 above.....or buy one of the above and reinvest the rest into some other bottles, like the Macallan Corronation release, which is guarenteed to massiving increase in value. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| Being a whisky drinker rather than a collector i wouldnt be able to resist opening it but i suppose that is hard to do if it is worth a huge amount more than you paid for it and it will enable you to buy a few special bottles. |
