The Scapa Distillery on the Orkney Islands today opened its doors to the public for the first time in its 130 year history. Visits to Scapa include a tour of the traditional, manually-operated production methods, including the only whisky Lomond still in Scotland, and a walk along the front of the distillery to see the Scapa Flow, the natural harbour separating each of the Orkney Islands.

| About time they opened their doors. It would be good if they offered something exclusive to taste and buy on your visit, other than just the 16 year old. |

Opening the doors to the public and making friends is good for business. I will visit many of them when I win the lottery. |

Was up at Highland Park a year past Easter and thought it a shame that Scapa wasn't open to visitors, having been turned on to the 16yo by a Kirkwall Uppie.
Now a great reason for us to make a return visit. |
