| Hi there, im new to the site and pretty new to whisky. Myself and a few friends would like to visit our first distillary. We want to do it in a budget so thought barn / camp site or similar.....can anyone recommend a lowland distillary and nearby accommodation please?. Any advice for a novice on distillary visits gratefully recieved. Many thanks for tour help. |

Welcome to the Forum. Most folks would recommend Auchentoshan first for the Lowland distillery. The list of Lowland Distilleries would be:
Ailsa Bay
Annandale
Auchentoshan
Bladnoch
Daftmill
Glenkinchie
Not sure about visitation particulars. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

Bladnoch is probably still a no go, daftmill don't do a lot of visits, aisle bay as far as I'm aware don't do visits or do they ? ,
Auchentoshan would be my choice 😊.. But not sure where you could camp, I'd be more inclined to do speyside for camping as you could probably get pretty close to a few distilleries.. |
