Here are my taste notes for Isle Of Jura Elixir 12 year bottled at 46% abv in a 70cl bottle. Note that the Elixir available in the UK is bottled at 40abv.
Color-Amber
Body-Medium
Neat-
Nose: Dessicated fruit, ebbing and flowing delectable spice, pomegranate and cantaloupe flashes and waves of orange syrup.
Palate: Very creamy, spice, ginger and beckoning fireplace smoke.
Finish: Long, tingling, the spice keeps working its magic, ash notes surface with just a hint of menthol, very refreshing.
This expression finished in Spanish sherry wood is quite impressive at the 46% abv.
It has a richness and finesse that does not go unnoticed.

| I have had the Elixir 40% and did enjoy it and can only imagine it is even better at 46%. I wonder why Jura have bottled it at a higher abv for Canada. |

Bookie, actually William has the answer to your question and a general frame of reference in this regard as he did contact Jura and they responded to him. I will let him answer you in his own words. William is fantastic in getting relevant information in a timely manner.

Bookie as Quaich1 says, i contacted Jura about the Jura Elixir and they confirmed that there are now two versions of Jura Elixir, one general market and one UK. The gm one is bottled at 46% and only available in France, some Germany and Nordics and obviously now Canada.
In the UK it was only available in 35cl at 40% and exclusively in sainsburys supermarkets. It is now also available in 70cl bottles as well from all retailers not just Sainsbury's. Unfortunately it is still only available at 40% ABV here in the UK. Those Canadians get all the good stuff

| I havent come across the Jura Elixer here, it does sound like a Jura Expression i would like. |
