|
|
Hankey Bannister Blended Scotch Whisky has taken a step back in time with their latest limited edition expression. The Hankey Bannister Heritage Blend has been inspired by a perfectly preserved bottle of Hankey Bannister from the 1920s which was unearthed last year in the UK.
Bottled at 46% ABV, limited to 5000 cases with a UK RRP of £26.99.
I have to say i really enjoyed this, it is an excellent very well made complex and very easy to drink quality blended whisky and a real taste of Hankey Banister whisky history. Obviously some very good malts and grain whisky have gone into this and as you would expect in a whisky from this era it has a touch of peat smoke. I think this could pleasantly surprise quite a few single malt whisky drinkers.

| Hankey Bannister is one blend which i havent tried, you dont often see it even in specialist whisky shops. The Heritage Blend does sound interesting as i do like blended whisky particularly the more premium blends, i will watch out for it in the shops. |

| Hankey Bannister is one i have never tried either, i would guess the UK isnt the main market for it as you dont see it much here. |
