I saw this story on the BBC website and thought i would mention it here in case anyone may unsuspectingly buy themselve a lethal bargain.

Anyway thieves have stolen more than 300 bottles of potentially contaminated whisky from a haulage container.

The distinctive bottles of Dewar's white label were taken from a yard in Grangemouth in the past two weeks.

The alcohol - which was due to be sold abroad - was being stored at Grange Dock after it was reported that shards of glass may have fallen into it.

Anyone who is offered the bottles or who knows where the consignment may be has been asked to tell the police.

This is what the bottle looks like:

How come they didn`t find the glassshards while checking the bottles in the plant?Could it be a tale to prevent the bottles from being sold or did the police spread this rumour?
Never the less i don`t agree with theft from whatever, what if they trace the whisky,is it being filtered and bottled again or destroyed?

Eric.
