Hi, just wondering what your dream dram is, for tasting only.
Mine is The Macallan 25year, with the price for this around £500 a bottle now, I can't really afford to buy the bottle so I came up with another plan.
Recently I managed to get a measure from a pub put into a sample jar, cost £19.95, not too bad considering the bottle price.
I plan on opening my dram next week.

| I would love to get the chance to taste the Highland Park 50 year old but that is unlikely to happen at £10K a bottle |

I'll go for the Dalmore Trinitas 64 Yr. Unfortunately it's 100,000 pounds a bottle or
$161,578.90 Canadian Dollars in my currency or I could buy another house.

| If i was to choose a bottle i already know is superb i would have another bottle of Laphroaig 25 year old cask strength 2011. If i was to choose a bottle or i should say 2 bottles way out of my price range then i would lve to taste Ardbeg 1974 Double Barrel |

I will have all of the above,
I would love to try some of the older Highland Park offerings as i believe it is one of those distilleries that continues to improve with age, i have had the pleasure of the Highland Park 12, 15, 16, 18, 21, 25 and 30 but would love to try the 40 and 50. Also wouldnt mind trying the Highland Park Orcadian Vintage Series 1964, 1968, 1970, 1971 and 1976. I will have to dream about most of these but perhaps i will treat myself to the Highland Park 40 one day, i just wont tell my wife |

That is an awful lot of Highland Park dreaming you are doing Keith. There was a miniature of the Highland Park 40 available for about £80 if i remember correctly, not sure if you can still get it. i have tried the 40 and it is superb. I have also had the pleasure of a couple of the Orcadian Vintage Series, the 1968 was excellent and the 1964 was outstanding.
Just realised Keith, i dont think your whole list comes anywhere near the price of Murray's one bottle of Dalmore Trinitas. I wonder if any of the Trinitas have been drunk yet. Murray, you may have a problem getting hold of a bottle. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |

| There are some impressive whiskys already mentioned, my dream dram would be a 50 + Glenfarclas, if its anything like the 40 then just let me at it... Also wouldn't mind trying an old Auchentoshan... |
