just come from an auction and my wife has bought a glass which is engraved with the following,
galley brand ,an engraved galley,fine old highland whisky. andrew mcnab and co,glasgow and leith,sole propietors.
has anyone any information on this please?

Havent come across this one but i would guess they were one of the may Glasgow blenders that have long since disappeared.

I agree with Mark. However, I did find the Galley of Lorne Inn which offers lots of Scotch.

It shows you that whisky has had a lot of marketing behind it for a long time now and the unfamiliar will always use these awards as a guide.
