Tomatin Distillery Launches Two New Rare Vintages
The Tomatin Distillery Company in The Highlands is adding two new Limited Edition Vintage bottlings to their whisky portfolio.
Personally approved by Distillery Manager, Douglas Campbell, the limited edition Tomatin Single Highland Malt 30 Years Old and 40 Years Old are to meet the growing demand from Tomatin enthusiasts keen to discover new and rare expressions from the highly respected distillery.
Drawing on Douglas' 46 years of experience at Tomatin Distillery, the exceptional casks used to bottle these vintages were selected for their unique characteristics from the many thousands that are currently warehoused at Tomatin.
Tomatin 30 Years Old
Deep gold in appearance, offers a nose resembling polished leather, fruit cake with hints of orange and a smooth, almost creamy palette with orange spice.
Tomatin 40 Year Old
Bronze in colour. HAS the aroma of beeswax and stewed apples, with a hint of marzipan. Complex and exceptionally smooth, with some liquorice the 1967 Single Malt is creamy and full-bodied, with a long lingering finish that coats the palate.
These malts are limited worldwide to 1500 bottles of the 30 Years Old and 1614 bottles of the 40 Years Old. UK recommended retail prices per bottle start at £180 for the 30 Years Old and £450 for the 40 Years Old, reflecting their rarity.
