I came across this article today. We always talk about how super expensive some single malts are...Well, here's a super expensive bottle that was purchased here and it's not a whisky at all. Sometimes it's worth comparing apples and oranges especially when both prices are in 6 digits.
LCBO reportedly sells $168,000 bottle of wine, the most expensive ever purchased in Ontario.

My only advice for the person who bought this is; let it breathe.
I made the mistake of drinking mine straight out of the bottle. I was pretty thirsty and didn't really want to wait for it to breathe, it was still nice but not worth the premium. I suppose I could have just drunk a Lafite while I was waiting but that would have meant sending the butler down to the cellar and again, I was thirsty.
Luckily I've got 2 more at home so I'll make sure that I give them a bit of time to open up before I drink them. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

Murray i had to laugh at the comment someone left:
| Quote: | | The exact same bottle was on special last week in a private liquor store in New York state for $39.00. This is a pretty standard mark-up for the LCBO |
