I am sorry to mention Christmas this early, but I would like to know if you were to treat yourself to a whisky for Christmas and you could spend up to £100.00 what would your choice/choices be ?
Happy Christmas to you all, I thought I might get that in early to. |

A 100 pounds equivalent doesn't go as far here in Canada as it does in the UK. I persused UK prices up to 100 pounds and would suggest a few bottles:
The Glenlivet 21 Archive -about 100 pounds
Lagavulin 1994 Distiller's Edition- about 85 pounds
Inchmurrin 21-about 78 pounds (their top-range bottling)
Dalmore 1996 Cromartie- about 98 pounds. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

I think the Glenfarclas 25 is still available for a smidgen under £100. Once you get into this kind of money I think the Glenfarclas range is hard to beat for value.
And merry Christmas when it comes! _________________ "Whisky is liquid sunshine."

Good question. If be tempted with a HP 18 but at 75 I'm not sure you could get better value
You may be able to pick up the Black Art 3 for that sort of price perhaps slightly more. I can very much recommend that.
If nod too to the farclas 25.
Our the Laphroaig 18 maybe.
That covers most of the bases.
The other option you have is to go to a specialist whisky shop and have a look what IBs they have available in and around your price range. You tend to get much 'more' whisky for your money in the IBs. That would be what I'd do. |

I have a Bowmore Devils Casks safely tucked away for dramming over christmas. Still to decide what others to get in my christmas order.
Some i am considering are:
Glenmorangie Artein
Octomore 5 Year Old Scottish Barley Edition 06.1
Old Pulteney 21
Talisker 18
Highland Park 18
Springbank 18
Ardbeg Corryvreckan
Ardbeg UIgeadail
Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva
Also looking at the Highland Park 25 year old for my christmas stocking but that comes in at around £155 |

I'll be buying a GlenDronach 18 Year Old Allardice around £55, I tried this last night for the first time and loved it.
Still got change left to spend on, either a Glenfiddich Solera or Macallan 12 year. |

Thats a good price actually. I would be tempted to get 2 bottles of this for a little over the £100 mark |
