William, this special 25 year sounds like an impressive dram. I had a sample mini-bottle of Glenfiddich 30 Year and it was really superb. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

Hi all,
Been offered a bottle of this for £800. It's a hard one to get hold of with apparently only 16 for the UK market. Thoughts, a decent buy for my collection or a bit overpriced?
Regards,

Rob, it's a rare expression no doubt. I think it's a good investment particularly if you're willing to hold on to it for some years.

| Glenfiddich will always be one of the top iconic collectable whisky brands and any limited release like this will be considered collectable. I would think if you stick this one in your cupboard for a few years you will double your money. |

Thanks for responses, I'm struggling to justify the price to myself so think I'll give it a miss. If anyone on the forum is interested in one for £800 PM me and I'll give you details of my contact.

| Sounds a fair price considering the release price. Way too much for me to even consider. IMO the release price was way too high. |

Sorry to quote myself but the bottle now has a new home (unfortunately not me!) so no more PM's regarding this please.
