Some scary prices there. Do you think this is to combat the investors? Way and above what I would pay for a drinking dram.

It may very well be to combat investors diageo understandably want a larger cut for themselves. I wonder what's next though as Mike says, where do we go from here? Are these realistic drinking prices? I'd wager not for many so the only ones in for these may very well be collectors and if that's the case, what really is the point?
Quite depressing all round really |

If these prices are correct then i would think they will be of no interest to investors

Why would collectors not be interested ? I see the collectors buying rather than just joe public wanting them to crack open and drink... But as most people will be thinking the prices are way over our budget ...

Hopefully the prices are not true but if they are and you are looking for these whiskies to drink there are plenty of earlier releases of Port Ellen available of at TWE for much less.

I just hope the Lagavulin 12 pricing hasnt gone mad as it is a regular of mine but if they have hiked the price up they can keep it, plenty of other good drams to try.

I guess the RRP and the actual shop prices can vary, so i hope the Lagavulin 12 isnt £80 in shops, hopefully it will be more like £69 that TWE are selling the last years Lagavulin 12 for. I will just have to imagine what the Lagavulin 37 year old and Port Ellen 24 tastes like.
