Glengoyne has announced the release of a rare 35 year old limited edition expression of their Highland malt. Only 500 decanters of the rare whisky will be available for sale globally.

Glengoyne tell me that the new 35 year old expression has been crafted from some of the finest sherry casks within Glengoyne's traditional dunnage warehouses. Bottled at 46.8% ABV and natural colour, available from this month with a RRP of £2,850

I got the chance to taste the Glengoyne 40 year old at the Whisky Show in London a couple of years ago and like you William i thought it was excellent, Jim Murray didnt really rate it to highly but that is individual taste i suppose. I do like the extra oak influence in an older whisky but i suppose everyone will have a different limit for just how oaky a whisky gets.
