I was at one of the LCBO outlets with a wider range of single malt scotch whisky offerings in Ontario today and picked up a bottle of Glenfiddich 15 Year Distiller's Edition 750ml at 51% abv. It's the first time I noticed this expression on sale here. I would be interested in Forum member's evaluation of this one. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| I have gotten through a couple of bottles of this, a great dram, the extra strength makes all the difference. |

| I think it's great - it's not really talked about a lot but it's a perfect showcase of the Glenfiddich style at higher strength. I have a bottle of it on the go - I always get the impression that it's sort of Glenfiddich 'in the wild' - lots of apples and pears, subtle smoke, spices, and a richer finish than we find in 40% expressions of Glenfiddich, as would be expected. |

It's worth trying, sometimes it comes up on offer at Tesco or Sainsbury's for under £40, which is great for a high strength Glenfiddich of this age. I would say this and the Solera are my favourites from Glenfiddich's core range, they obviously do a very good job with their 15 year-old expressions! |
