|
|
I've been having some great single malt tasting opportunities in Ontario lately.
Tonight is my chapter's dinner and single malt tasting in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The list of scotches provided is below. I will add all the details of these expressions tomorrow when I know them ( tonight). The only info I have been given so far is:
Glendronach cask strength
Benromach Single Cask
Kilkerran
For those who are curious about the meal as well here is tonight's menu:
STARTER
Lentil Soup
Or
Apple Fennel Spinach Salad
MAIN
Guinness Braised Short Ribs,
Herb and Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Or
Pan Seared Rainbow Trout
On a bed of slow roasted tomato, baby spinach and chickpea ragout
And topped with smoke bacon and sage butter
DESSERT
Sticky Toffee Pudding

I'll have the soup and ribs please Murray
The Glendronach will be a sherry drop I'd imagine just hope there is no sulphur.
Also I'd be very interested in the Benromach it's not a distillery I've had much from but recently the SMWS has had a few bottles quite reasonably priced. I've not tried them so I'm wondering what you make of this one. Your taste is normally very good so your opinion would be greatly received |
