Hello there,

I have a bottle of Tamnavulin - Glenlivet, 10 year old, 40% proof, in a 70 cl bottle which comes in a dark green cardboard cylinder. complete with 2 information tabs. I have had this since approx. 20 years, I believe the Glenlivet was dropped from the title on the bottles quite a few years ago. Could anyone please tell me if this is indeed old enough to be considered collectable or should I let my student son drink it Very Happy

Thanks a lot Exclamation

Gary

Any photos? For a standard bottle 20 years is reasonable young,i don`t think it is that valuable.
Eric.

Hi Gary

They have a bottle of Tamnavulin Glenlivet 8 Year old available to buy at The Whisky Exchange, dont know if that helps estimating what your bottle is worth. They are asking £150 for it. Remember that price includes taxes and the shop mark up. Just visit The Whisky Exchange and do a search for Tamnavulin Glenlivet and you will see the bottle i am refering to.

Hi Gary,
There is a link in the Whisky Magazine where you can ask John Rose (from Ballater) how much you would get of this bottle.
Last Sunday we had a valuation day here in Dufftown where John checked the value of about 500 bottles due for the forthcoming Auction on Sunday 28th September during the Whisky Festival. You could fax him on 013397 55896 if you want.
