Just a note to say hi?

I have some experience in scotch, mainly acquired through my families Wine/specialist spirits shop we had until the recession hit Sad

. I just like the taste (although I do have a small collection of bottles).

still a bit new to really have favourites.

Strangely I do not usually head for Islay but I was lucky enough to taste Lord of the Isles from Ardbeg recently and loved it. I am currently enjoying an Oban but like Old Pulteney as well. I can't say I have "been around" though.

I have no doubt not acquired the "proper" tastebuds...

Welcome to the forum beany123, there is no "proper" tastebuds, taste is individual. You will find it is a relaxed easy going corner corner of the internet here with a lot of combined knowledge of what is good in the world of whisky. I am sure the forum will direct you to a few good malts which you have not yet tried.
