The Black Grouse, has been awarded a Gold medal in the Scotch whisky category at this year's International Spirits Challenge.
The medal joins other plaudits gained by the brand. The Black Grouse was awarded a Silver Medal for Premium Blend at this year's Scotch Whisky Masters and was listed as The Best New Scotch Blended Whisky in Jim Murray's 2008 Whisky Bible.
Gerry O'Donnell, director of The Famous Grouse, said: "We are absolutely delighted that The Black Grouse has been recognised by the International Spirits Challenge, beating off stiff competition.
"We are seeing a trend towards more challenging whiskies and flavours and we feel The Black Grouse delivers this on all levels. It gives drinkers keen to embrace a richer peated whisky the opportunity to do so from a trusted premium brand."?

Hi everyone, I'm back,
Having had a great season here in Dufftown with '000 of visitors both in accommodation and during the 13 weeks of nosings & tasting in the whisky museum I can relax a bit before the Autumn Whisky Festival on 23-26 September.
John, I hope to find a bottle of Black Grouse in the 'duty-free' to take on holiday to the Greek islands. I always enjoy a bit of peat (makes me want to come back to Scotland).
Slainte

Hi Rene
Welcome back, good to hear you had a good season. If you have a Sainsburys near you they had The Black Grouse available and at a decent price last time i looked.
Enjoy your break before the Autumn Whisky Festival.
