Looking to get myself something, which of the following would you go for ?
Option 1,
Glenfarclas 21
Glenfarclas 25
Glenfarclas 30.
Option 2,
Glenfarclas 40
Option 3,
Speysides finest 46yo
Option 4,
Auchentoshan 32yo
So do I get 3 bottles or one Stella one, should I get the fantastic 40yo or the 46 and hope it is as rumour says " Glenfarclas " ???? Come on help me please... |

| I have only had the distillery bottlings of the Glenfarclas out of the selection you mention and my choice would be the Glenfarclas 40, the 30 is also superb but the 21 and 25 didnt blow me away although great drams. |

Thanks Cuba, I have had the full range of Glenfarclas, and have a few family casks, my dilemma is I know how good the 40 is but do I get it again or something older, or 3 bottles for the same money, I always feel guilty when paying this much ( not for too long ) |

Sorren, I would definitely go for Option 1. You can't go wrong

| You only live once, go for the Glenfarclas 40! Alternatively for that money there's a range of Family Casks you can choose from as well... |

| I am pretty sure that the Speysides finest 46 year old from Douglas Laing will be from Glenfarclas and i would be very tempted by it but the Glenfarclas 40 would be very tempting also. |

Sorren, am I right in thinking that you're a Toshan fan?
If that's the case then option 4. As nice as the others may well be. If you really enjoy the distillery then, I'd go for that. Treat yourself to something fantastic from a distillery you really like. That's What I'd do. |

You could say I like Auchentoshan some might use other ways to describe it lol, that's the reason I put the toshan in there, but I do really like the Glenfarclas 40yo, that's why I'm having such a hard time deciding which to get... I did consider getting another family cask to add to the collection... O I just don't know |
