Whisky Forum - What are you planning to dram for New Year's Eve?

I thought this would be a cool Forum thread. Some of us will likely be staying at home and others may be stepping out. In any event, what are you planning to drink for New Years Eve (and the hours) leading up to it. I'll be one of the stay at home folks though I am stepping out for a brunch on New Year's Day.

I'm planning to have some of my favorites at home. So far, I'm thinking:

Glenfiddich Cask Of Dreams, Canadian Edition
Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve
Caol Ila Distiller's Edition-Moscatel
Glenfarclas 105

Lovely question.

I too will be staying in. A 2yo at home and a 7 month pregnant wife kind of excludes me from any real hogmanay revelling and nonsense.

I've finished a couple of bottles recently so I could open something New. However given the birth of my 2nd is due end of Feb I'm planning on opening something special for that.

I may revisit a couple of rather good bottles from the past that I decanted into 100ml bottles in the last year. A 28yo SMWS Toremore and the Black Art 3. Plus a couple of the drams I already have open should see me through the bells.

Like albo I have a two year old and we've been very busy over the festive period, only got back from visiting rellies in England and Wales last night. I think we'll be staying in but hogmanay is a special occasion so I'll be dramming the better opened bottles in my cabinet.

My Whisky Broker Longmorn 20yo is almost done, I may help it on its way. I'll see the bells in with SMWS 77.29, a 25yo Glen Ord and if I need a top up I may turn to Glenlivet Nadurra.

Talisker 18 and my Highland Park 18 will be opened tonight plus a couple others probably.

I will be at a friends house for the Bells and taking a bottle of Glenlivet 18.

Like Albo I have a 2 year old and my missus is 7 months pregnant, although we're always up for a good party (well they get dragged along and don't seem to grumble that much!) After a selection of ales I think the blends will be got at. Glen Orrin 30, JW black and gold. I think the final dram will be a laga de or perhap Laphroig 18. Now, need to finish work first....

Murray I will be at home with family tonight and i am sure i will have a few nice drams. Planning on opening a bottle of Port Ellen 29 year old 1978 2008 release.

Just heading out to a friends house as soon as my good lady is ready so just poured a Highland Park 12 while i am waiting and taking a bottle of Glenlivet 18 with me.

I will be going to first foot my parents after the bells then on to my brothers where i will have a few drams. I will have a bottle of Glenmorangie Artein for my first footing and a sultana cake, no lump of coal though.

I'll be heading to my parents very soon, so I'll have what they have there - it'll be a choice between Talisker 10, Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask and Glendronach 15 Revival. And I'll take a Glenfarclas 30 for good measure. We'll probably end up sampling all four I imagine!
