I have gotten through a few bottles of the Bowmore Enigma, i would say if you are a Bowmore fan you will like it, it has the trademark Bowmore smoke and sweet sherried notes. A good value for money dram as it is a 1 litre bottle. I would rate it 86/100

Has a nice sherry sweetness mixed with Bowmore smoke as Bookie says, i agree good value considering it is a litre bottle.

I liked it and had no complaints considering i paid £30 something for a 1 litre bottle. Ideal for everyday dramming if you are a Bowmore and/or sherried/peaty style whisky fan. It is never going to win Jim Murrays whisky of the year (as he doesnt have a taste for Bowmore) but for the price it was ok. Not much between this and the Bowmore 15 Darkest for quality IMO.

Agree with the above comments, I haven't tried the Darkest yet (have an unopened bottle at home) but have got through a couple of bottles of the Enigma and I like it a lot. A great everyday drinking whisky, personally I prefer it to the standard Bowmore 12.

I don't really enjoy Bowmore as much as it seems others do (no whisky being bad whisky of course!) however I did really enjoy Enigma. I was a little concerned that the sherry provenance might mean a little sulphur but I needn't have worried. _________________ "Whisky is liquid sunshine."
