| I have to say i enjoyed the Mac 21 fine oak, not an in your face sherried Macallan, lighter sherried/fruity notes combined with vanilla and spice |

| I think Jim Murray knocked the Macallan 21 FO for being sulphur tainted but i have had a bottle and sampled a couple of others and didnt find this at all. But i guess this was done in small batches so seperate batches could be quite different regards sulphur. Personally i thought it was a great whisky, as Brummie says it doesnt have the big bold Macallan sherry more a refined balance of the different oak casks that goes into it. |
