| One of the best things about whiskybase, is looking at peoples collection, for me anyway. My person collection is small, say about 20 - 25 bottles. |

You can register 'free' and search for all your whiskies. You then add them and they sit on a shelf in your collection. You can also add shops, distilleries and bars that you've visited etc. it's pretty cool actually. You can also add friends too. I like having a look at my friends collection as he has around 100 bottles. I only have about 7 or 8. You can also look at other peoples collections.
It's worth spending 15 minutes or so halving a look at it.
It's not for everyone but I think it's pretty cool. |

I keep my whisky inventory written down, so far I got 20 bottles, once I move up north be it to Oregon or somewhere else cold but within easy flight distance to San Joaquin Valley I will start really improving my selection. _________________ The Laga 16.

Same. Although colour coordinating stuff that's finished/duplicates is starting to do my head in. I'll have a look at this thing. |

Me too. I'm not sure it is the best way though. Makes my eyes hurt after a while. |

Right so I've signed up for this now.
I have my user name and password and I'm in, however, I can't for the life of me find out how to add a bottle to my collection, when I go into lists and edit my collection, I'd expect something in there to enable me to.. y'know... edit my collection or something, but no, there is nothing, nada. An option for XLS or CVS which when I click on do nowt. Now I'm probably being stupid, I know I normally am, but can someone give me a hand as to how to put a bottle into my collection |

Albo, I am sure you search for the whisky bottle first then add it to your collection.
I am on as my name here, STUDOGG37.

Spot on thanks.
Right I'm set up there now, I've not put all my old dead bottles in as I don't have a complete list of them, and some of my current bottles aren't in the database, so I've not got a full list of current bottles either
Great start
Anyway, name there is as name here, so feel free to have a look about and post comment, those who wish, lurkers, you too, though I'd much rather you stopped lurking and started posting
I am as yet unsure if I'm going to keep this whisky base thing up to date or not, I'll see how things go. |

It's once in a blue moon I get a new bottle so it's no problem for me to update mine.
I've added both you and STUDOGG37. Away for a look |
