2 new warehouses which can each hold 20,000 barrels have been completed at the Macallan distillery. The 2 new warehouses are part of plans for an overall new warehouse complex, which will be developed over the next few years.
Graham MacWilliam, general manager, distillation, at the Edrington Group, said: "The creation of our new warehouse site at the Macallan is a very visible sign of growth of the brand.
"It is a significant investment and this clearly demonstrates the Edrington Group's confidence in the future of Scotch whisky and, in particular, the Macallan."?

Unfortunately, they look like an eyesore, John.
Every time we drive from Dufftown to Aberlour and you look over the River Spey you see those monstrosities ! ! They should have planted trees before hand !!

Just an update five years later, MacAllan have planted the 125,000 trees they promised and you can see they are going to make the warehouses disappear eventually. Fair play to MacAllan for planting another 15,000 in the last year.
