I recently got a new apple iphone 5S and one of my friends mentioned an app for it called Distiller Whiskey Your Way (Free). I installed it. It's a pretty good resource. It can recommend whiskies and single malts based on your needs and at the level and price range you are interested in. It can also search directly for whiskies. Give it a try. The price is right.
