Hello,
I have an unopened 75cl/40% vol. bottle of Gordon &MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice 15 Years Old
Cragganmore Distilled in 1972, in its original box.
It was found in my dad's loft when we were clearing out his house. it is marked "Specially Selected For CHUBB FIRE SECURITY LIMITED". My dad was Manufacturing Director of Chubb Fire until he retired in the mid 1990's.
Anyhow, I'm new to whisky drinking and I think this is rather expensive for my palette.
This seems to sell for around £275 in the shops, and I've been offered £160 for it.
I'm happy to accept £160 but buyer must collect from Sandhurst, Berkshire.
I have photo's available.
Cheers
Pete

| Hi Pete, how was the bottle stored during the years in the loft? Was it standing upright or on its side? |

Hi James,
Upright.
I actually have two bottles. I guess my dad must've been given a whole case because these two bottles were in the original Gordon & MacPhail cardboard box.
There was another opened half-bottle in his drinks cabinet. I drank that and it was very nice, but I'm very much a beginner at whisky drinking.
Kind regards
Pete
PS How should whisky be stored? |
