LCBO could be on the chopping block???

We are having a Provincial election here in June in Ontario after the Liberal government shut down parliament on a failed budget. The Conservative party leader who could be the next Premier of Ontario has repeatedly spoken of removing the monopoly of spirit sales by the LCBO, allowing privatization and possibly selling all or elements of the LCBO off. Some bold thinking going on. There would certainly be some positives to breaking the LCBO's monopoly and likely result in lower whisky prices with competitive pricing. Time will tell....

I hope you do get some change Murray, whoever is elected, your pricing is so ufair but i suppose the pricing this side of the water has been catching up with yours recently, there isnt as big a difference these days.

Looks like the signalling by the Conservative party here in Ontario in the upcoming election has made a sharp reversal:

In a local news piece, it states:

"But after months of signalling reforms to Ontario's anachronistic booze laws, Hudak would not change the government's LCBO monopoly or open up the foreign-owned Beer Store to competition if he wins the June 12 election".

Politics!!!!!!
