Sounds like Peat the kitten hadnt acquired any road sense. We stopped getting the kids cats when they were young as they never lasted long on the countryside roads around where we lived. They didnt seem to acquire the road sense town cats did and we lost a few on the hedgerowed roads. I think the longest we had one was 2 years.
