The Glenfiddich Excellence 26 year old, the latest premium addition to the iconic Speyside distillery's range. You may have spotted this one already as it was released a few months ago but I thought I would give it a mention as I tasted it this week and I thought that I would share with you my opinion of the new whisky.

Matured exclusively in American Oak Bourbon casks, uniquely the Glenfiddich Excellence 26 Year Old is the first single malt from the Speyside distiller to use Bourbon casks throughout the entire maturation process.

Bottled at 43% ABV it is now available from The Whisky Exchange currently priced at Â£343

Quite a price tag but then so is the Glenfiddich 30 these days.

Sounds a different Glenfiddich, i am making do with the 18 year old tonight which is considerably cheaper but i would love to try this.

One of these already in the latest Whisky Auctioneer auction, seeing they are readily available you maybe able to save a few pounds if interested.

Thanks for the note William I have been lucky to have had this a couple of times at Glenfiddich events and have been hoping to see some more opinions on-line.
