Hi everyone
Looking for some help.
My BIL is turning 60 soon and I would like to buy him a bottle of single malt for his birthday.
I know he enjoys HP12 & Johnnie Walker black label. He also enjoyed my Dalwhinnie 15 when he was here for a family get together.
The obvious choice to me would be HP18. I'm happy to spend up to £100.
Any other suggestions appreciated.
Cheers

First off Happy Birthday and that reminds me I am quite young to be a whisky drinker (22 years old). Back on topic, Highland Park 18 would be an excellent choice and personally I find Highland Park 12 to be one of my favorite whiskies to have with friends.
I would recommend JW Blue Label but I have no idea where his taste lie and do not want you to waste any hard earned money on something he might dislike.
Or Talisker 18, nothing wrong with that dram, I am keeping an eye out for it right now in my area. _________________ The Laga 16.

For my Dads recent 60th I got him a sample of the Master of Malt 60yo for about £55, this would leave you £45 to get a decent whole bottle too.
Rumour has it that the Master of Malt 60yo is Glenfarclas. |

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
Certainly gives me some food for thought.
Don't think I will go for the sample of the 60 though. Just don't think he would appreciate what he was drinking. Perhaps if he had more experience of drinking different whiskies then I would go for it. Great shout though

The Glencadam 21 The Exceptional is well named it really is a cracking dram and like most of the Glencadam range often overlooked.
The Old Pulteney 21, Talisker 18 and Highland Park 18 are all very good indeed and should be good choices given what your BIL already likes. |
