|
|
Douglas Laing have added a new Highland blended malt whisky named Timorous Beastie. It joins Big Peat and Scallywag in the Douglas Laing small batch regional blended malt range.
Timorous Beastie contains amongst others - Dalmore, Glengoyne and Glen Garioch. bottled at 46.8% ABV, naturally coloured and not chill-filtered.
A very easy to drink Highlander and it is just as you would expect from a Highland region malt whisky, light bodied with a bit of fruit, honey, spicy character and with a dryish finish. Has a RRP of £34.99

William, I like the bottle design and graphics as well and the price seems reasonable. Wonder if it will make its way across the pond. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| You gotta love DL's branding and packaging, the are very good at it. It will be difficult to pick this up when you have the Dalwhinnie often on offer for £27 but i will probably give it a go at some point. |

Pete, interesting that the Dalwhinnie 15 goes for 50 British pounds equivalent here in Ontario, almost double what you quoted across the pond. When there is a discount here on a single malt scotch, it's usually just a couple of dollars, barely noticeable.

| Intersting that there is some Dalmore in it, not a malt you see much of other than distillery bottlings. DL must have plenty of it to make the Timorous Beastie a permanent addition to their regional blended malt range. |
